Communication is not a simple task to delineate. However, I believe that most could agree that it is an influential instrument that can be used in any event. Wither it is verbal or nonverbal, premeditated or inadvertent, communication is a way to share meaning, and transmit information of emotions and ideas. In order to be confident that your point is understood be honest with yourself and others.
I can authenticate that communication is a technique to be mastered. An example of this is when I was promoted to a manager. There was an extensive amount of documents for me to complete. Each manuscript’s main focus was how a supervisor communicates to his employees and customers. I had to learn how to communicate any disciplinary act or sale in the most professional and sincere approach possible. It certainly was a learning experience and one that I will not soon forget. For I have learned that candid communication is mandatory in the workplace in order for all staff to work proficiently and to get the best response from your consumers. From trial and error, I quickly learned that the norm to value sincerity and to be truthful with others is very important. You cannot sugar coat any issue with an employee or they will do it yet again or worse. You even have to be open with the customer too without losing a sale. Aside from their own opinion, tell the customer what you think looks good, and what you deem best by your own outside observation. I have noticed that individuals revere my opinions because I was direct in a genuine way. Then I noticed they would request for me by name and without failure, ask me what I considered preeminent for them.
I certainly would want the essence of my communication in the office, home, and even around strangers to be one that is noticeably moving, encouraging, and diverse; for I would want to reach the hearts of many. It certainly is a skill to acquire if you want to be successful but it can be done by merely being honest. I believe communication should always have the foundation of honesty. All other positive outlooks on communication will fall into place if sincerity and integrity is at the fore front. Without a construction of strong groundwork your message will surely crumble. Honesty is indisputably referenced as the best policy in order to understand others and be understood by them. This is when I believe communication is power. When you are honest and you communicate effectively you will find that it goes a long way and in turn you will reap what you sow.
